At The Pilates Academy for Strength and Transformation, we offer a comprehensive range of workshops and advanced trainings designed to deepen your understanding of Classical Pilates as a complete movement system. Core Modules (4 hours each) — £115
Archival Mat Essentials
Explore the roots of the Pilates method through original archival mat material rarely taught in contemporary programs. This workshop brings Joseph Pilates’ early work to life, highlighting variations, transitions, and sequencing that deepen your understanding of the Classical Mat. Tower Foundations
A comprehensive introduction to foundational Tower repertoire that balances classical precision with modern application. This module breaks down essential exercises, flow pattering for class sequencing, proper spotting, and clear teaching strategies to help instructors confidently lead Tower sessions. Ideal for teachers seeking stronger command of the apparatus and a clearer understanding of Tower’s role in whole-system Pilates training. Includes manual pages and videos for each exercise.
Inside, Outside, Upside Down on the Cadillac
Dive into the versatility of the Cadillac and learn how to use it to strengthen, lengthen, and challenge the body in every orientation. This course explores foundational to intermediate Cadillac exercises, creative variations, and safe progression strategies. Teachers will learn how to work effectively with students of varied abilities while using the Cadillac to improve alignment, stability, and full-body integration. Chair & Barrel Techniques
Develop confidence teaching both classical Chair and Barrel work with an emphasis on biomechanics, precision, and purposeful progression. This workshop explores key exercises, modifications, and hands-on cueing techniques that help instructors elevate their teaching of these often-underutilized pieces of apparatus. Specialty Workshops (3 hours each) — £100
Pilates for Back Care
Learn how to support clients experiencing back pain through evidence-informed Pilates strategies rooted in classical principles. This workshop breaks down movement patterns, common postural tendencies, and safe teaching progressions that improve mobility and stability. Teachers leave with practical programming skills for group classes and private sessions. Topics covered include: non-specific back pain, herniated disks, spondylosis, spondylolisthesis, and disk laminectomy. Includes recording for reference and workbook.
Pre & Postnatal Pilates
Gain essential knowledge for safely and effectively teaching pregnant and postpartum clients. This course covers trimester-specific modifications, contraindications, breathwork, pelvic floor awareness, and supportive cueing. Teachers will learn how to help clients stay strong, safe, and connected to their practice through every stage of pregnancy and recovery. Also learn to to avoid, treat, and identify diastasis recti, or the abnormal distancing of the abdominal wall. Includes recording for reference and workbook.
Pilates for Dancers
Designed for instructors working with dancers or highly mobile movers, this workshop blends classical Pilates with movement strategies that develop control, power, and artistry. Explore sequencing for turnout, foot strength, center stability, and injury prevention. Teachers leave with programming tools that support dancers in both technique and longevity. Pilates for Scoliosis

Reformer Progressions & Challenges (3 hours) — £100

Reformer Mat (2 hours) — £90
This dynamic workshop translates the advanced Reformer repertoire to the mat, maintaining the integrity of the original exercises without the use of equipment. Teachers work through the full workout in real time, followed by breakdowns of technique, modifications, and cueing strategies. Integrating Pilates & Biomechanics of the Shoulders and Hips (3 hours) — £100
Blend classical Pilates principles with functional biomechanics to better understand and teach movement of the shoulder and hip complexes. This workshop covers joint mechanics, common compensations, movement assessments, hands on releases, and targeted exercise progressions.
