This 60-hour course is the foundation of the Peak Pilates Comprehensive Certification Program. Participants will learn the Peak Pilates 5-Part Formula for Success, Pilates key concepts and fundamentals, introductory mat work, Reformer work, Cadillac exercises, Ladder and Small Barrel exercises, and Power Circle exercises.  Participants will also learn building blocks, and an introduction to the Powerhouse. Homework assignments will help participants to assimilate the knowledge and skills learned. At the conclusion of the course, participants will receive action plans to guide their further practice and refinement of skills.

To achieve Level I certification, you must register for and attend modules 2, 3 and 4 in succession, with 4-6 weeks between each module. Certification requires successful completion of all four modules, as well as passing scores on practical and written assessments during the Module 4 course.

Please register early. Space is limited, and you will need time to receive your course materials and prepare by studying portions of the DVD and completing pre-course reading assignments.

The second part of the Mat program is an intensive course adding breadth and depth to Basic Mat. New vocabulary and exercises will be introduced as well as a deeper examination into the underlying principles behind exercise order and progression. Key concepts will be presented that will facilitate teaching and understanding of the classical work. We will expand our knowledge of effective touch techniques, imagery cues and how to enhance movement quality. General dos and don’ts and contraindications for all exercises will be covered as well as strategies for class set-up, cueing, correcting and touch.
